Ashes Fever Hits England

What a test match that was and what a way to start the 2013 Investec Ashes Series!

Preparations are well underway at Emirates Durham ICG and we are almost ready for the arrival of the Aussies. And after the weekends events the stakes have been raised…

In a thrilling Test match with the drama that only an Ashes series could produce England edged it on the final day, winning by only 14 runs. A final day was set up nicely, but as the wickets began to fall England’s win looked increasingly likely only for James Pattinson and Brad Haddin put the Aussies within touching distance.

Cometh the hour cometh the man though and James Anderson found Haddins inside edge. To fit with the match a controversial end was the way proceedings would finish as England appealed the decision and the DRS went England’s way. Jubilant scenes ensued at Trent Bridge as England’s players celebrated going ahead in the Investec Ashes series.

With the thrilling cricket going right the way to the afternoon of day 5, and some thrilling cricket along the way there is a real chance that England could retain the Investec Ashes in the Fourth Test at Emirates Durham ICG.

We still have a limited number of tickets available for days four (priced £80 for adults £20 for adults) and day five (priced at only £25 for adults and £5 for juniors) this could be your chance to witness the next chapter in cricket history and England retaining the Ashes.
